Leading out front: HE Menna Rawlings CMG British High Commissioner
Her Excellency Menna Rawlings CMG departed Australia on Sunday after a wonderfully successful term as British High Commissioner. Not only did she help smooth the way for Britain’s BAE Systems to land a $35 Billion dollar contract to build Australia’s fleet of new navy frigates, she also played a key role in advancing women’s leadership. Menna’s speed mentoring program for women, held at the High Commissioner’s residence in Canberra, was an annual highlight and her contribution to the 50/50 Foundation as an Advisory Council member was greatly appreciated by all of us.
Today, in order to share some of the Menna magic we’re posting the keynote speech she delivered at our Women in Leadership Symposium last year at the University of Canberra. It was one of the event’s highlights and is well worth watching! Enjoy
