Gender Equality: Are we there yet?

It’s a bold vision, but just how realistic is a 50/50 by 2030 gender equality target across government and public sector leadership?

The Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis (IGPA) at the University of Canberra is proud to host the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation. As the first research centre based gender initiative of its kind, the 50/50 Foundation is driven by a bold and singular vision. We want to see equal representation of men and women in government and public sector leadership and key decision making roles, in all jurisdictions across Australia and our region, by the year 2030. But just how realistic is this target? And why has progress to date been so glacial? Director of the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation, Virginia Haussegger asked key members of the UC community.
