What did the federal election do for the gender balance in parliament? Unfortunately, not much. Total representation of women still sits around one third, with 23 percent of Liberal party seats held by women, and 47 percent of Labor seats. But will a better gender balance change the political story, or style of Australian politics?

BroadAgenda's Chief Editor Virginia Haussegger joined ANU Political scientist, Dr Marija Taflaga, PhD candidate James Frost, and ANU Senior Fellow Mark Kenny to chew the fat over federal politics and election shenanigans on this week's ANU Democracy Sausage podcast. Enjoy!
