What makes a good man?
The evolution of feminism has brought with it a massive social revolution that is both historically profound and so ubiquitous it is barely noticeable. How men are bearing up under new societal expectations is a cause of much discussion, with some elements arguing that feminism is undermining masculinity and contributing to more vile and toxic expressions of it.
In this interview with ABC Canberra's Adam Shirley, writers Jane Caro and Phil Barker join Virginia Haussegger in discussing masculinity in 2020.
They will be appearing on a panel along with academics Dr Michael Flood and Elise Stephenson at the first 2020 BroadAgenda Public Talk Series - Emancipation of Men: Masculinity at Crossroads. Come along to the Ann Harding Centre, University of Canberra on 13 February, 5.30-7.30. Register here. See you there!
